Power Glove From Hell

The year 2009 will apparently be bringing us a gory slasher film intended to appeal to both the hardcore gamers and horror film buffs among us. The creators of LAN Party Massacre, a title which makes me never want to attend a video game get-together again, have classified their movie as a comedy/horror slasher film. A professional gamer called MORT@L1TY and an F5 Energy Drink both get a mention in the ridiculously cheesy trailer while a series of obligatory blood spurting scenes attempt to make you either laugh or hurl. I did neither. Watch the trailer and let me know if you are more intrigued than I am. I actually felt the urge to kill something after realizing I would never be able to get those 50 seconds of my life back. In fact, I think I am going to go organize a LAN right now. Be expecting your invitation shortly. Mwahahaha!

I have to say I am so underwhelmed here that I cannot even muster the effort necessary for a ‘meh.’
They could have at least made the glove cover all of the arm that was in shot, rather than pointing out it only goes as far as the elbow. It just looks shoddy.
crafty use of fishing hooks, wow. nothing more terrifiying than some evil idiot that (from the looks of the video) probably lives in his parents basement. i often enjoy movies that are so crappy that i have a blast going all mystery science theater 3000 on it, but this film looks dismal.
But the powerglove DOES go up to the elbow. I am just stunned by the massive amount of game flicks being made right now.
rofl
Lame.
This is the blandest look my face has ever made.
I thought you didn’t advertise.
“I actually felt the urge to kill something after realizing I would never be able to get those 50 seconds of my life back.”
I see, and it’s your plan to turn all your readers into cold-blooded killers as well? OMG MORE PROOF GAMES ARE BAD FOR TEH CHILLDRENS!
You’re on to me!
And Cone # 3, that felt like an advertisement to you? It must have been the stellar review I gave it. I’ll try to not be so positive next time.
I think its sad that I actually am interested in the movie. It looks so bad that its gotta be good. Its probably something I would sit around and watch with an open minded group of people willing to laugh at the stupidity.
You guys pretty much have the same excitement level as I do… it’s very low. It looks too cheesy for its own good and doesn’t even look entertaining in that bad kind of way. I am interested in the potential gaming references they’ll throw in, but I don’t think I’ll ever end up watching it.
By the way, have you ever heard of 6 Hour Power? If you’re a gamer you should definitely check them out. They make energy shots that are great for marathon gaming sessions since they improve concentration without the dreaded crash. They’re sugar free, have zero calories, and come in 5 different flavors too. Check them out at http://www.6hrpower.com/
I work for them, so if you have any more questions or would like more info feel free to shoot me an e-mail. By the way, I hope you don’t mind me mentioning this in my comment… Thanks, and have a great day.
this is a joke?
Not as far as I can tell e house. I thought the same thing and poked my head around other sites and everybody seemed to have an official press release for it. Weird, eh?
