For those of you addicted to the regularly occurring double dose of Halo 3 experience, that indulgent time is upon us yet again. The theme this weekend is the in your face Team Melee and it will be available until August 4th at 2am PDT. It’s a three team playlist (with each team having three players) featuring both slayer and objective gametypes with an all Energy Sword or all Gravity Hammer weapon set. In the seven games of Team Melee I played last night, Team Swords came up five times while Hammer Hill only showed up twice. I’ll save you some time and tell you how this is going to go down. You’ll encounter an opponent. You’ll clash. You’ll clash again. Then you will both get killed by some random grenade thrown from the opposite side of the map. Good times.

Well, it is angel’s blog we’re talking about here. You’re safer on the opposite team from angel when it comes to that close quarters stuff. And, her post couldn’t be more right. I can imagine someone stealing kills with a few well timed grenade tosses. That’s what I’d be doing.
Hm… note to self: spam grenades.
imo Halo doesn’t have a good enough melee system or enough weapons to make a melee based weekend.

Unfortunately, you can’t spam grenades, Raging… You start with 2 and you can’t pick up any more after you throw them. Use those two wisely.
And yes, on occasion, you will betray people. You do get to melee your own team.
It’s how I got half my kills last game I played, throwing well placed(throwing like crazy all over the place) grenades for the double kill :P
I did great on my first game. I was mashing B and only did so many lunges. I had most of the kills on my team till they began focusing and we worked together.

I actually enjoy team swords but hammers were annoying. Maybe cause I am terrible with hammers.
