Christmas in September

limited edition red xbox 360 controllerspacerlimited edition green xbox 360 controller

Coming this fall to an Xbox 360 near you are two different limited edition wireless controllers. Available in both red and green (apparently Microsoft thinks the holiday season is in September), each controller will be bundled with a Play & Charge Cable and a coordinating rechargeable battery pack. They will run you $64.99 apiece, which is the standard price for that particular combination of accessories. Maybe they’ll tease us with a super bad ass limited edition item for a while, let us get absolutely crazy with anticipation while we await the final details, and then cancel the formal announcement twelve hours before it is supposed to go down. Oh relax, I’m just kidding. Microsoft would never pull an asshole move like that.

  4. Slightly less shameful than last years pink pad, but as I now have 7 Xbox 360 pads I doubt i’ll be buying any more :D

    Not the carpet AusQB?

    =P

  7. Well the carpet is more of a Moroccan pattern and has patches of red, black, grey and some yellow. The drapes are a vibrant red and really stand out.

    I LOVED the sarcasm at the end, lol…

    I did think the red one was pretty cool… did the green one remind anyone of radioactive waste or puke? =p

  12. I love the red one… my fav color! My dull ‘ole controller is starting to look boring to me. My husband forgot to pick up a pink one and got me the standard one instead. I think subconsciously, he meant to do it too.

    @Valentine:
    While he may not admit it, I don’t think it was subconscious. I only say this because it sounds like something I would do.

    Am I the only one who wants the green one?

  16. I want both, and the pink and blue as well.

    I’d like to have two systems hooked up with 8 separate controllers ideally.

  17. The green one looks better than the red one.

    Those look cool but I already have 4 controllers sooooo…yea. Maybe I’ll just paint mine…I colored my 360 plate with a green sharpie! Maybe I can do the same with the controllers!

  19. 65 bucks?! I can get the same result with a can of spray paint. Although I would like my controllers to stop dying in the middle of Halo 3 multiplayer. Color doesn’t matter to me. I sold my drapes for batteries and spray paint.

    I would actually love the Lime Green one. It’s awesome. I have the pink one and love it, and a green one would be perfect to go along with it. :)

  21. @Qix LOL yeah I’m sure he probably meant to do it. Just so it’s not embarrassing to pay for a pink controller at the cashier lol.
