This letter penned by Harold Ryan has replaced the previous Bungie.net splash page that was rotating various cryptic messages with a timer that was set to expire tomorrow morning. Along with the appearance of the letter, the timer has since been frozen at 00:12:00:00. Speculation is running rampant over if the announcement has truly been canceled or if this is all part of the ever growing hype machine. Louis Wu has stated, “I can confirm, after speaking to more than one Bungie spokesperson, that this is no stunt, no joke. This is real, and they’re as unhappy about it as we are.”

That sucks that the announcement is being delayed. I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait though.

I’m hoping it’s a part of the show, but the mature, non-fangirl voice in the back of my head is saying it’s for real. Louis Wu said it’s for real, too…
Let’s hope there’s a damn good light at the end of this tunnel of sadness.

The announcement is still coming, just delayed. Hence the “When the time is right, We look forward to sharing this exciting announcement with you.”

Don’t even think about going into the Bungie.net forums now, doing so will surely reduce your IQ.

AusQB is right…its bad over there.
I for one am dissapointed, but not really bothered by this. I trust Bungie, and I am sure they feel worse than any fan about this. No need to add to their burden with complaints…like those on the b.net forums.
I still <3 Bungie!

LAME, EPIC LAME. I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ALL WEEK, SUPER SUPER AWFUL WEAK LAME.
Dammit…My anticipation was through the roof, especially with the cryptic messages on bungie.net. This is like if you got a phone call saying the party van filled with strippers and funnel cake broke down 2 blocks away from your house. Dammit.

Yes I dont know if I can recover from this terrbile blow. Its almost like MS is becoming the badguy WWF wrestler that everyone loves to hate.
On a brighter note a party van filled with strippers and funnel cake broke down right in front of my house. SCORE!!

:(
I certainly hope Bungie doesn’t get knocked too much for this.

this is great news!!! i would hate it if EA got their hands on bungie as well. sure in the monopoly i am so i EA’s side and say screw Activision, but i prefer that bungie remains away from the giant multiplatforming companies.
