Halo Horror

When I initially found this machinima series that classifies itself as “Halo Horror”, I was more than a little skeptical. A horror short made completely from Halo 3 assets? Sure, we’ve seen a plethora of Halo-themed comedies, a fair share of dramas, and even a decent amount of educational videos. While a few people have taken a stab at the horror genre, unfortunately I haven’t seen one that didn’t fall straight on its face. Then came along this little gem titled “Feast”. It comes in two four minute segments and is more than worthy of watching in its entirety. The camera work is phenomenal, the audio is suitably disturbing, and it (in my opinion) successfully mimics many classic mandatory horror elements. The only thing missing is the gratuitous boob shots. Oh well, maybe next time. For now, grab some popcorn, turn your volume all the way up, and enjoy this creepy Halo horror flick.

Bloody hell, that was creepy.
Whoooa.
I think we’ve just seen an entirely new genre created. Although I foresee some cliches occurring, should others try to emulate the above. However, horror machinima looks like a great new medium.
mmm squishy soundeffects…
That was FANTASTIC for a little machinima. Well done.
Damn, that was awesome. Creeped the hell out of me though, and hating those squishy sound effects as the end.

Wow.
That was almost as scary as that stuff on the Bungie Webcam last night! :O
Jesus. What spooked me was the sigh at the star. Hope I don’t wet myself tonight.
seriously…that wasn’t scary at all.
That was pretty cool.
That was awesome. Especially the squishy sounds-this is a VERY well made machinima. Now all we need is modding to remove the armor from the characters to make it more realistic.
That was really creepy for a halo machinima. And anyways; who needs boob shots when you’ve got blood thirsty elites!
I was hooked from the beginning of that first part. Very well done!
I enjoyed it. Good voice acting is extremely difficult to come by, and although Feast was far from a perfect performance, I didn’t mind it. The Lord’s Prayer wasn’t a bad touch.
That was freaking brilliant!! I have seen more machinimas than breathes i’ve taken in my life, and besides comedy this was on of the best made onea I’ve seen yet. Amazing job!!
