Mmmm Through the Fire and Flames on Expert…..played while really intoxicated…is really fun. Especially with a partner so you can talk excessivly slurred trash….trash which questions the mental capacity of the man’s mother and the verility of his father.

I think mine trends more like this:

Guitar Hero/Rock Band Vs. Beers

Proficiency goes up after the first few beers, getting loose, getting into it. Then fun value lags behind % hit for a few beers. You don’t care that you’re not doing as bad as you are. Then there’s another peak in fun value when you’re just too drunk to care about your score. After that it all bottoms out.

That debate is a pointless one in my opinion that I see little worth in having (which is why I deleted my comment). While your argument is valid for the race car driver example, it’s not for playing football. Or soccer. Or any sport that you can also play virtually. It’s also not valid for going to the shooting range where you can rent everything for a reasonable price. Or for many things. I primarily see that comment made with a condescending tone (although I know in little guy’s case it wasn’t) so it automatically grates on my nerves.

BS, the main argument there is price and availability…

Can you afford a race car as opposed to a video game?
Can you order a racetrack, or major venue from your home?

Unless you are a millionaire or a MAJOR enthusiast, sometimes it just makes more sense to play the game.

Those arguments break down slightly in the case of Guitar Hero or Rock Band…
Guitars and amps are slightly more affordable than a race car, lol. Also, it’s more feasible for someone to learn guitar than become a professional driver.

Anyone can be a rock star… but it takes skill to be a guitar hero.

Man, that was cheesy, lol. Anyways, you see my point.
