I was just thinking today… in the case of gh… wouldn’t it be better to invest all that time into actually learning to play a real guitar? I mean… for me the dream of standing there playing along with the songs kickin ass on every note while bouncing around the living room without even watching the tv would be the lure… but to get that good I’d have to practice so much I might as well learn to play the real thing!
i would just like to say, on a note no where even remotely near the topic afoot, that Caboose from Red vs Blue is the most amazingest caracter of all characters in the entire character world ever. Character.
BS, the main argument there is price and availability…
Can you afford a race car as opposed to a video game?
Can you order a racetrack, or major venue from your home?
Unless you are a millionaire or a MAJOR enthusiast, sometimes it just makes more sense to play the game.
Those arguments break down slightly in the case of Guitar Hero or Rock Band…
Guitars and amps are slightly more affordable than a race car, lol. Also, it’s more feasible for someone to learn guitar than become a professional driver.
Anyone can be a rock star… but it takes skill to be a guitar hero.
Man, that was cheesy, lol. Anyways, you see my point.
Oops. I deleted my comment so now yours makes zero sense Ray! LOL, sorry about that.
That debate is a pointless one in my opinion that I see little worth in having (which is why I deleted my comment). While your argument is valid for the race car driver example, it’s not for playing football. Or soccer. Or any sport that you can also play virtually. It’s also not valid for going to the shooting range where you can rent everything for a reasonable price. Or for many things. I primarily see that comment made with a condescending tone (although I know in little guy’s case it wasn’t) so it automatically grates on my nerves.
Proficiency goes up after the first few beers, getting loose, getting into it. Then fun value lags behind % hit for a few beers. You don’t care that you’re not doing as bad as you are. Then there’s another peak in fun value when you’re just too drunk to care about your score. After that it all bottoms out.
Mmmm Through the Fire and Flames on Expert…..played while really intoxicated…is really fun. Especially with a partner so you can talk excessivly slurred trash….trash which questions the mental capacity of the man’s mother and the verility of his father.
Hmm, let’s see. What would I get if I don’t drink and I don’t have Guitar Hero?
Super Mario Brothers?

I’ll just shut up and get back behind the wheel of my virtual hog.
Imagine if you drank 50 beers! You would be a Guitar Hero god! O_O
(and dead, lol)
Also, the first two comments are hilarious… I may be playing Super Mario tomorrow on the SNES, lol.

you guys are all caboose racists. no one cares of how awesome he is!
You’re more off topic than we are. LOL, …
i demand Caboosismness! (Caboosismness-adj. noun, verb- to praise Mr. Caboose with all awesomness.)
I think mine trends more like this:
Guitar Hero/Rock Band Vs. Beers
