Bungie Loves Us Long Time

When I first heard the news that Chill Out was coming back in the form of Cold Storage, I will admit that I was more than a little bummed we were getting yet another remake instead of a shiny new map. I am now singing a different tune though with the release of the official price and date information. Today Bungie announced in their one day early Weekly Update that “Cold Storage will be available for free beginning on July 7, Bungie Day, on Xbox Live Marketplace.” I always say that flattery will get you everywhere with me. Well so will free stuff. Hell yeah for a free map in four days! w00t!

  6. Has anyone heard anything about it possibly having Forge Filters? That’s something I’m really interested in.

I never really played Chill Out much in CE, and there are plenty of other maps I would rater see re-made, but it looks like a cool map. I think Chill Out was the MLG player’s preferred map back in the day.

I think it’s more a conflict Bungie has with the fans. They might want to work on brand new maps, but the fanboys (and girls) keep screaming for remakes, not realizing what amazing new maps they are missing out on.

    But anyway, thanks Bungie!

Damn it! >_< I’m away all of next week, and I leave on bungie day, so not only do I miss the free pictures and a theme, and have no chance unless my “BUNGIEDAY” message actualy gets seen by Bungie, but I also miss the release day of an epic looking map =(

I remember playing various games of Chill Out on Halo CE, when the descrtiption was “you realy need to”, and it defnitly had more teleporters than that, it’s also a pretty confusing map at first, but W/E right?
