A Bad Ass Custom Gears of War Xbox 360

The creator of the Godzilla-esque alligator Xbox 360 case mod has been busy, this time making a console even Cliffy B. would be proud of. (For the record yes, I do know he wants to be referred to as Cliff Bleszinski but I still call Sean Combs Puff Daddy so sue me. Actually please don’t really sue me. The only things I have that are worth anything are my autographed Halo action figures and you would have to pry them from my rigor mortis like death grip before I would give them up. And if you did manage to get my action figures by the way, I would come back and haunt the hell out of you. I’m not even kidding. I would take control of my favorite pink Spartan and wreck some serious havoc. She has an energy sword and I’m not afraid to use it.) What the hell was I originally talking about? Oh yes, the Gears of War-themed Xbox 360. It has the Gears of War logo on it. It was made by sculpting several layers of Bondo. It lights up. Blah blah blah.

No SeXbox Means Yes EXbox

exbox t-shirt

Perhaps you are a disgruntled female stuck with a neglectful significant other who constantly chooses to play his Xbox instead of spend quality time with you. Maybe you are just a gal who enjoys having your vagina referred to as a “box”. Either way, this is definitely the shirt for you. Featuring the familiar button layout of a video game controller with the words “Play with me or this will be your eX-BOX”, this rather unattractive white t-shirt has a conspicuous arrow pointing down. Down to your nether regions? Down to your belly button? I guess down to whatever box happens to be neglected at the time. It’s a good thing the Xbox isn’t called the Xschlong. Otherwise my husband would be all over this.

This Cake Only Slightly Stretches the Truth

portal cake

Just in time to celebrate Portal: Still Alive coming to the Xbox Live Arcade later this year is this adorable new handmade charm that would be the perfect adornment to your favorite accessory. While the beloved Companion Cube typically basks in the glow of the spotlight, this time around it is the mouth-watering cake getting all the love. For only $4 you get a teeny tiny slice of the culinary treat and you even get to choose if you want the connecting loop on the top or the side. I think it’s safe to say this was a triumph. I’m making a note here, … oh forget it.

Fan Art: Cortana 2.0

cortana 2.0

Some gamers have absolutely astounding skills, and I don’t mean the kind you show off to your friends by expertly pushing a complicated series of buttons on your controller. Combine a passion for creating beautiful works of art with a passion for playing video games and you have the recipe for deliciously wonderful fan art. The gaming community is positively brimming with talent so I have decided to start the occasional spotlight of the more eye catching pieces I happen to stumble upon. Some will be beautiful, some will be disturbing, and most will be in between, but they will all pique your interest.

The first one we’re going to look at is called “Cortana 2.0” and it was done by an artist who goes by ~EvilFlesh over at deviantART, a popular online art community for artists and art lovers alike. As you can tell from the title, it’s actually a follow-up to a different Cortana piece he previously completed. You can already see the smaller image, but the full-size picture is waiting for you after the jump. Check it out in all its fleshy glory and then let me know what you think of this captivating piece of art.

That’s Certainly My Happy Place

A Happy Place

Haloramics has one of the most impressive galleries I’ve ever laid eyes on that consists solely of Halo-themed panoramas. The overall quality is exceptionally high and there’s even an easy to follow tutorial to assist you in creating your own masterpieces. On a recent visit to the site I noticed some new images which are incredibly unique and jaw dropping gorgeous. The creator calls the technique the “planetoid” effect; I just call it fucking awesome. Check out the gallery to see Planet Standoff, “L.A.S.E.R.”, and my personal favorite of the new series, A Happy Place. Seriously, seriously amazing.
