Red and Blue Paper Glasses Accepted

I was watching the latest Halo-themed 3D Stereographic video by the always amazing Kroden35 and everything seemed unusually blurry. I typically don’t have a problem using the cross-eyed technique so I was puzzled why I couldn’t make the picture come into focus. Then I realized I wasn’t wearing my contacts! So I put on my glasses, watched it again, and presto, an amazing battle on High Ground appeared right in front of my eyes in all of its 3D glory. For those of you that get frustrated from not being able to view these videos, don’t fret because starting at 1:25 is the same exact clip, just in the anaglyphic version meaning you will be able to see the 3D effects with those super fancy red and blue paper glasses you’ve been holding on to since the 80s. Good thing you saved them, eh? So grab your 3D glasses, cross your eyes, and prepare for some explosive 3D action on High Ground.

Uh, I just can’t seem to get it work… I think someone messed with my sights, wait, that only works with the sniper rifle.

Does anyone know how to get real 3D glasses, aside from waiting every few years for a really crappy 3D movie to come out, and getting equally crappy paper glasses-esque things to go along with it?

Go to an Imax movie thats in 3D and hide the glasses untill you get outside.

Here’s some instructions for a DIY pair if you are feeling crafty today, lol …

Actually, the 3D glasses in IMAX movies use polarized lenses to seperate the right and left channels. Those won’t help you unless you have 2 projectors, each displaying a different channel in the same place, with the polaroid filters on them. The best you can do with your own monitor is the red/blue ones.

I didn’t have any trouble watching that, and I didn’t need to cross my eyes or wear funny glasses. I finally found a benefit from astigmatism!
