I’ve learned many things from watching the MLG/ESPN Halo 3 Top Ten compilation videos, the main one being I am the exact opposite of a pro player. Yes, I’ll admit I have made some incredible plays over the span of my Halo career. I absolutely adore those glowing blue orbs of destruction so I’ve had more than my fair share of unbelievable sticks (some even landing on people that aren’t on my team). I’ve had a various assortment of impressive sprees, and believe it or not I’ve even had some superstar moments with the sniper rifle. However I adamantly refuse to save clips of those amazing kills. People always ask why, and I tell them I don’t want anybody to know I have ever done anything that spectacular because then they may expect it from me again. And let me tell you, that’s just not going to happen. Some people though, like the skilled gamers featured in the latest episode of the MLG/ESPN Halo 3 Top Ten series, somehow manage to perform that way on a consistent basis. Color me green already.

Ok, let’s lay it down. I really hate MLG.
A lot of people will just call me jealous (which I kind of am, that is pure skill), but it’s these kind of people that take all the fun out the game. These are the people you meet in matchmaking that take the game way too seriously, have xXx xXx around their name and tell you that you suck if you can’t get a no-scope extermination.
I also hate that term “Perfect BR” and the fact that these Top 10’s have the same format as Sportscenter. I will never consider this a sport.
Phew. Now with that little bit of steam blown off, my favourite play has to be No. 3 with the extermination.

I gotta stick up for MLG just to say not every kid you meet on XBL with “XxXX” and “MLG” or “BR” in thier name is actually on the MLG circuit, in fact they probably aren’t.
MLG has the players who play because they are competitive and love to play the game and then they have a bunch of fan boys going out of the way to no-scope you so they can teabag you the one time it works.
MLG is certianly a sport imo just the same as poker. It’s a game of skill and any game of skill you can play against other people I would consider a sport.
Nothing personal, just trying to give another pov.

I actually agree with you totallysweethalo, even if it is contradicting my post. Maybe it was just late at night, but I think I was just exaggerating my feelings a little bit.
I know that the pros don’t have xXx’s in their name or anything, but I guess what I was trying to say is that there are MLG Pros and MLG freaks. The latter group is what I was describing.

Perossnally I’d rather whatch Confirmed Kills than the top ten, as the top ten has a realy patronising anouncer who treats the audience as if they can’t tell that someone just got a no-scope. However, the kills are still impressive once you block him out.
