About 14 months ago, a particularly desperate World of Warcraft player offered the temporary use of her vagina in exchange for a large sum of gold (click the image to read the original ads). Her catch line was, “I need 5000 world of gold for my epic flying mount. In return you can mount me.” While she went on to to say she would prefer someone who was into roleplaying (apparently she had a fabulous costume all ready to go), she also made it clear that anyone would do, assuming they had the required amount of gold. A man was fine, a woman was fine, a group was fine, even in the ass was fine. I don’t know what an epic flying mount is, but I must admit I am highly intrigued considering the lengths this player was willing to go for one. I can actually imagine some Halo players using the same tactic to get such highly coveted items like recon armor. What else in the alternate reality of the gaming universe do you think people would stoop to this level to gain possession of?

O_o wait, what?
Well I suppose like she said, she got her mount and got laid.
Though I have to say I do not particularly want Recon enough to let Luke or Shishka ‘mount’ me. Sorry guys, it’s not you it’s me, you’re just not my type. :)

that is very low for a mount actually (but 5000 is a lot of gold)
an epic mount is the fastest kind in WoW btw

Wow.
I have no idea what to say about this one.

If the stereotypical WoW player mounted her, it would not be epic.
I think… the person who gave it to her would have no idea what to do with her.
I work for Best Buy, and most of the people that come in and play WoW would be considered “normal” by society’s standards, but some of them… EW.
Not only does this make girl gamers look bad, but it makes me a sad panda.
=(

………………..
Wait, what? O_o

I don’t know this makes girl gamers look nearly as bad as the guys making it actually happen…just sayin’
Then again this is like digital hookering (is that a word?) hmm.

That is so messed up on so many levels. She is seriously out of touch with planet earth.

I guess considering how many people go out to bars/clubs etc specifically for one-night stands, might as well get 5000 gold too.
Quick search on google says that 5000 gold on that server is about 95-100 bucks…
Quick search on Craigslist says (near Portland anyway) anywhere from 100-200 bucks for an hour of a young girls time.
Crazy world we live in though.

*hangs head in shame*
I always knew World of Warcraft was the low point in gaming. It has turned a fun past-time into a unholy obsession by which players waste their lives trying to fulfill the lives of imaginary characters, and are willing to do anything to improve their virtual character but not their own.
I know that’s stereotyping and that there are some relatively casual World of Warcraft players who actually manage to run normal lives, but that game in my eyes marked the beginning of the downfall of evolution.

Man this WoW chick is fugly. I would even kick my dog of her if he tried to hump her.

To complement my mini-rant above, here is a shocking realization of what we are turning into.

I’m not exactly any authority on such matters but I’m pretty sure this is more common than people think. Some people would do anything for Recon.
Me for example.

If agdTinman starts offering armor for lovin’, just know that he doesn’t actually have the ability to give the armor away.
Keep that in mind, ladies. And lads.

The fact that she’s actually bragging about how some guy accepted the offer…

Now this would be a good blog banter topic.

When will the term virtual whore be adopted?

My favorite part is the detail that the taker of the offer got double value for his gold. I know that this is supposed to be sad, and that we are supposed to mock these people, but I have to say: “You go girl!”
She is not ashamed, and she is getting what she wants. It may seem sick and wrong and depraved, but so is playing WoW.

I play WoW. I know what an epic mount is. I have no idea in hell why a druid would have trouble getting one!?
L2 dailies.
Nightmare
Probably just confused you all further.
