I Ride Rockets

halo 3 motivational poster

If you love the agonizing actionsack antics of the Double EXP playlist, Bungie has a particularly excruciating weekend planned for you. Rockets FFA is the flavor of the week and will be available to all masochistic individuals until 2am PDT June 9th. Does anybody over the age of 12 actually like playing rockets? Needless to say, you won’t see me in this playlist this weekend. I’ll be in ranked Big Team Battle. Playing games that have actual bullets. And vehicles. And fun stuff. You enjoy your SPNKing though.

Rockets is fun if you are bored (or drunk) and just want to see large explosions and bodies flying everywhere.

I actually love the hectic and the scolding involved in a good ol’ game of rockets.

Rocket matches do suck, you don’t even have to aim, that makes anybody that plays be able to get a good score, despite their having of no real skills, and sucks the fun out of matches.

I played one game of it, I did well, but I don’t care since it wasn’t realy a skillfull win, therefore I probably won’t play anymore, if I do it’l only be 1 or 2 more. I’m off to play RBTB, where the real people will be getting double exp.

tip: before the rocket hits, shoot one at the ground below it, and it will spiral out of control and miss you… thats how I got the “I eat rocket” screenshot…

I live in this delusion state where videogames are still for my own entertainment and thus I enjoy rocket gametypes.

I also like oddball and KoTH.

Did you ever play rocket CTF on Longest with 16 players? Sure, it doesn’t require a lot of skill to kill someone, but it does take skill to score. Plus, if you’re playing on PC, you can use the real fuel rod gun.

Rocket slayer is definitely fun too though, particularly with invisibility and regenerating grenades.
