The Creepiest Halo 3 Screenshot Ever

I have viewed an insane amount of Halo 3 screenshots in the last eight months. To say that I see a few hundred on a daily basis would not be an exaggeration in the least bit. I recently found one that I can only describe as the creepiest Halo 3 screenshot ever. I pulled it directly from the Bungie.net file so it is completely unaltered and taken directly from the game. Look in the top right corner. Don’t tell me it is swirls of smoke from the explosion or something ridiculously stupid like that. It’s a freakin’ scary ass eyeball and I’m pretty sure it wants to kill me. Watch out because it may want to kill you too.

…its not that scary though. I mean, if this were a photoshop, I would say its a photo of a young girl’s eye, and most of all, it looks like it was taken at a 3/4th angle, with the eye looking away from the camera.

Its interesting and one crazy coincidence, but not creepy at all.

Now, it’d be entirely something else if it was something like this:

    then I’d agree.

  12. And the guy has photoshopped the other eye just above Master Chimp’s head.

Or it’s a face.jpg involved in the smoke generation somehow, akin to the first level of Space Giraffe.

  17. Ok, so if it is “unaltered” why dont you release or share a video of the battle?

And please don’t tell us that you don’t know how, or that you lost the file.

It’s not my shot. I have a screenshot site (http://www.halo3screenshots.com) so I am always scouring Bungie’s recent screenshot files for images. I only pull them directly from the site to ensure they aren’t altered in any way.

    This is the original file.

It may be pulled off the Bungie website. But that doesn’t mean shit it’s from community screen shots what’s to say the original uploader did not modify it.

The screenshots from the Bungie files are not modified. It’s not possible. You can pull the image, modify it, and then host it somewhere else but you can’t modify it and have it on their server. All the community files are the original in game images.

  21. Many people have accused me of Photoshopping my screenshots.

Like angel said, it is not possible. All the files on Bungie.net are uploaded directly from the author’s xbox.

  22. To suggest that a screenshot hosted on Bungie could be modified is to show your total ignorance of the system.

Dammit! That is scary! I didnt’ see the eye at first, now I don’t want to look at it! But I have to look at it on bungie-I want to see if it was taken in campaign or a game?

As the ODST soldier emerged from the explosion unscathed, he reloaded his rifle. He had completed his mission to destroy the Covenant intelligence centre, yet he couldn’t help but feel he was still being watched…

The green and blue effect is produced by the fuel rod. Creepy eye though.

There’s viable evidence that even Halo3 screenshots taken right from the Bungie website can be modded.

    Your welcome.

Funny then, how this error pops up whe you click on the link.
Jeremy, is it was pulled directly off Bungie, it’s not modded. If it was pulled off someone’s file share, it could have been modded. ONLY IF it was pulled off a file share. I for one doubt that is the case.
