Belly dancing, a Middle Eastern dance that focuses on the pelvic and hip area, is typically a very sensual art form where the dancer expresses the emotion of a song through primarily circular movements. Some dances are more lighthearted than others, and this Super Mario routine is an example of just that. This particular interpretation is a very creative way to pay homage to everybody’s favorite classic video game. The beginning is rather slow; my favorite part doesn’t start until about 1:45 so hang in there at least until then. And don’t worry, it’s completely tasteful and safe for work so enjoy!

Indeed tastefull, but I’d say somewhat boring. Especially at the beginning and I would have liked to see a less grungy outfit. Something more colorfull and related to Mario.

After countless sequels, I can finally thank Nintendo for sticking it out for so many years. This is obviously the direction the Mario series should head in. Sorry Miyamoto, Galaxy was great, but you’ll have a guaranteed buy if this was the next Mario concept, Mario outfit or not. Mario belly dancing? Hells yes, hehehe!

I thought her outfit was ok. It was reminiscent of Mario without being overwhelming so.

I agree, sorta boring. Also, it’s as ‘tasteful and safe for work’ as a scantily clad woman dancing can be.

Count me in the “that is so cute” group. I thought she was a doll. It was just right for my boys aged 9 & 4 to appreciate but not get TOO excited over!
