Where Spartans Are Made

12 05 2008

I have come to realize that any time Adam Grumbo appears in my inbox, it is a great day. For the past several months he has been collaborating with Spase to create a phenomenal set of Halo 3 Marine Armor. While they don’t consider it 100% completed (they plan on adding detailing, strapping, and ammo pouches among other things), it was finished enough for a photo shoot in downtown Austin. Adam is sporting his Master Chief armor while Spase is making a special appearance as a Marine. They are so lucky I don’t live in that area, otherwise they would have had a rabid fangirl on their hands. Now if you’ll please excuse me, I need a cigarette just from looking at these pictures.

The time and patience it must have taken to create those is astounding. Congratulations are most certainly in order!

What I wouldn’t give for a Master Chief costume…

The Mark VI suit would be one kickass Halloween costume!

They both look incredibly detailed and realistic. Oh what dreams we have for a movie..

This begs the question…

WHY is there not a Halo Movie yet?!?!?!?

I would watch it multiple time… and buy the DVD… and recommend it to friends…

It would make SO MUCH money.

Hell, I’ll direct it… anyone want to fund me? =D

That is amazing. That looks like something right out of the Halo short films. Fantastic attention to detail and excellent quality of work.

Took me forever to figure out why it was holding your recent comments in moderation but I finally realized it was because you left out the “s” in your name so it didn’t recognize you. LOL! All fixed now though. :)

Funny, I think I recognize that alley. I could have told you what street that was from the buildings in the background, but after having been away from the city for 8 years now I can’t recall.

Sporting the ‘Sarge’ look at the end there, huh?

What do you think Johnson prefered anyway, Cubans? You’d hope we had dropped the embargo by 2552.
