Preparing for the Shocker
29 04 2008
While I remain on the fence about purchasing the most recent version of the always controversial Grand Theft Auto, I decided to take advantage of a current Amazon video game deal by picking up BioShock for $29.99 (with free shipping). If you haven’t played through this award winning game yet either, perhaps now is the time to finally pick it up. With the supposed length of its single player campaign, $30 seems like a great deal. Now for another moral dilemma, to harvest or not harvest? I already know which way I will probably be going with this one. And yes, I am more than a little evil.

I thought Bioshock was an absolutely amazing game I loved it so much I’ve played through it 3 times now. I need to go through a 4th time and try to get the latest achievement Brass Balls.
Wow! That’s a sweet deal! http://www.amazo... wait, I need to type that in the address bar! Doh!
I suggest you go through it naughty and nice, It´s a great atory and the experience does change between harvesting and rescueing because you have less resources when you rescue and the end is somewhat different from eachother.
If you harvest more than one little sister, you get a different (bad) ending. And if you harvest any little sisters, you don’t get something like 100 gamerscore. Harvesting them isn’t as gratifying as rescuing them, and you get the same ADAM if you harvest them or not, in the long run.
Once you kill your first big daddy, I’d save the game, then try harvesting, reload the game, and rescue it. Decide which you want to do from there
I was a little confused when I first saw the title of this post. I thought it was going to be about you preparing for “The Shocker“, which would be entirely too much detail about your personal life.
Who in their right mind would make a title that was a reference to something as perverted as that? Oh right. Nevermind.
And thank you to all who offered advice. I’m looking forward to playing this game! I wanted it when it first released but had too many other new games at the time.
On my 1st play through I decided to be the ‘good guy’. I really want to play this game again. In my opinion best 2007 game.
I rescued all but one of the little sisters, and I still got the bad ending. It kinda made me mad.
That is such a monster deal for an amazing game.
I loved this game!! And the good ending made me cry…
I am such a wimp
LOL… I actually had bought that when it was $60. Then I finally decided to play it just three days before GTA4 came out.
The game was a blast to play and ill be going back through it for sure. I even put GTA4 to the side for a good day just to finish Bioshock.
