If the silver Halo 3 sword that was crafted out of stainless steel wasn’t real enough for you, then perhaps you will find this latest version more appealing. Made by the same company that did the last one, this sword stays a little truer to our favorite video game, at least in appearance.

This three foot sword weighs a decently solid six pounds and still sports a blade crafted from stainless steel, only this time it also has a blue energy finish. No, it still isn’t made out of actual energy. I guess you’ll just have to keep waiting for that one. Wihle the speckled appropriately colored finish is nice and all, does the damn thing clash every time you get in a sword fight or does the lunge actually kill someone? Give me the latter and perhaps I will pay the big bucks.

There is just a part of me that is waiting for some kid to buy this, then get caught with it at school, then the media circus comes crashing down on Bungie and the Halo series in general.
I mean really…a stainless steel energy sword? Make it plastic, give it some cool led and fiber optics to make it glow, and I’m in.

You know, it’s pretty cool. But I don’t think it’s $175 worth of cool.

I must agree with Ryjen here, and if it must be made of steel show the steel because both of them don’t really look like the actual plasma, this blue one is to dark the plasma swords in the game glow more brightly. The one showing it’s steel also reflects it’s surrounding wich can make it look a bit more how do you say, transparant-ish and in the picture this one looks more like a toy but that can differ from reality
