It’s been one hundred and eighty three forlorn days
Since I last laid my eyes upon you
I was convinced we would not ever meet again
I had already bid you adieu
The memories of you I very much cherish
Nobody could ever take your place
You were always my favorite map to play on
How I needed your snowy embrace
Lockout, sweet Lockout
I’ve really missed you so
You should have come back
Such a long time ago
Spawning on BR 3 and throwing a grenade
Was the best way to start any game
It always made the explosive barrels blow up
And straight to your arms the sniper came
Camping under glass was a guaranteed good time
Especially with the host shotty
Regardless which direction people would come through
You killed them so much you felt naughty
Whether we played team slayer or capture the flag
Good times by all were regularly had
Occasionally I would fall right off the map
But that’s the only time I felt bad
Grabbing an smg and a plasma rifle
Around the library I would patrol
Worse case scenario someone tried to get me
I could quickly drop down the sword hole
Lockout, sweet Lockout
I’ve really missed you so
You should have come back
Such a long time ago
We have been apart for a very long half year
I’m now used to living without you
But then I heard the news that you were coming back
My favorite map to the rescue
I’m so very excited to see you again
You are saving me from the Rat’s Nest
And I know a few changes to you have been made
I am sure I will be quite impressed
Now you are a research station in the Arctic
You even have a Doppler radar
The light of the full moon will help us guide our way
And we can also look to the stars
The next time I see you, you will be different
But you shouldn’t be at all worried
For I’ll love you the same and maybe even more
Just hurry and get yourself readied
Lockout, sweet Lockout
I’ve really missed you so
You should have come back
Such a long time ago
Hugs, kisses, and see you soon.
Forever yours, bs angel

Who in the history of ever threw nades from BR3 to blow the barrels away and get the sniper?
How about shooting it – instead of wasting those glorious nades, your poetry is weak yoU N00B!!!11!1!!!!!
jk, I too am excited for Blackout, and am giddy to see if it will eventually be incorporated into the rapidly approaching Team MLG playlist! Midship next plz? :D

I’m very excited to see the recreation of this map, it made for some sweet games of Halo 2. DLC ftw!

Blackout is gonna rock! ^_^
P.S
Theres nothing wrong with Rats Nest…

Hey look -S-, some jerk is leaving comments under your name again! ;)
I don’t like Rat’s Nest. Nor do I enjoy playing on Foundry. I really prefer the outdoor maps for some reason.

Sorry, but I’m one of those people who said, “why? didn’t we already have Guardian? That was close enough.” I really don’t go crazy for any particular map, I think they’re all good. It really gets on my nerves when my friends sit there in Matchmaking and say, “No, veto this, I hate this map,” and they say that to Isolation, Narrows, Construct, and Foundry(default)… I like those! It just seemed like a waste of a downloadable map to add in another version of Lockout.

Very nice angel… wish I knew what it meant though… I need to play Halo more :/
Posted by momohine on March 26, 2008 at 11:26 am
No mention of the ghosts?
Posted by bs angel on March 26, 2008 at 11:57 am
You should add a stanza to my poem Miss Momohine!
Rift, I understand what you are saying. I personally look for that balance of new elements with just a few things that feel familiar. While I freely veto based on gametype (I don’t care for Covies, nor do I like VIP, or anything with only hammers or swords), I don’t veto on map alone. Except for maybe Foundry. I feel claustrophobic on that one.

If Lockout was a person you would be already asking it out…
…I am kind of jealous in a way. A LEVEL that can inspire poetry of such devoted emotion? Teh Hot!
/Fans himself and asks for lemonade.
Very nice. Overshield enabled.
XBox 360 – Tomorrow, we will be reading from the love correspondence of Luke Smith to Master Chief.

I prefer the outdoor maps as well.
And sunshine! :)

Also, I forgot to say this earlier (sorry, wasn’t thinking about it), but nice poem.
I’d mention things like iambic pantameter, and whatnot, but I haven’t been to a high school writing class in years… so yeah.
If you actually wrote this, it’s kinda scary that you would put forth that much effort….

It was about LOCKOUT. Of course I put forth that much effort. ;)
