Good point Sigafoos, about the clutter, not about Blazing Saddles. LOL …

I’m really torn at this point. It’s a great price and there is already a fantastic library out there, but the fact of the matter is that I have gone this long without needing it, … and it would really just be an indulgence. More than likely I’ll just continue to go without. But we’ll see. :)

Eh... It's temptingly cheap, but that means whenever you want to watch them you need to have your 360 plugged in with the HD DVD player attached. That may be fine now, but what about a few years down the road? Either your entertainment system setup constantly has the addon that you hardly ever use (and we all know how angel feels about crap in her living room), or you need to dig it out whenever you want to watch that copy of Blazing Saddles you got for free. And seriously, Blazing freaking Saddles? Do I really need to see that in 1080i?

Although I probably wouldn’t want to buy “dead” technology, Eric has a good point. There are a lot of movies on the HD-DVD format that you can now buy for cheap.

My thought behind having one of these is to protect the main drive from my constant movie playing.
