I love scouring the wastelands of YouTube for entertaining Halo 3 videos. Sometimes you will find a spectacular montage or a hilarious machinima buried amongst the numerous “OMG BEST DBL K1LL W/ROCKETZ EVAR” clips. This video, featuring a young man discussing his views on the recent Halo 3 update (in particular the changes made to melee contests), is truly a gem. While it runs an unbelievably long ten minutes, I actually watched the entire thing because I just couldn’t stop laughing. Language is clean, there is no nudity (you will understand why I say that after you watch it), and it is simply beyond hilarious. The laughs start rolling around two or three minutes in so hang in there for that long and you will be rewarded. Enjoy!

That guy is a Halo nerd. “I’m invisible with a shotgun, oooohhh”
LOL
My 360 got RRoD right after the update, and I’m still figuring out if they are connected.

This guy is fantastic. Is it just me but is he a little bit sleep deprived during filming. :)

I feel like those minutes of my life that i did spend watching some of that were stolen and i should be compensated.

LMFAO. I must be easily amused, because the laughs began immediately for me. =] Amusing to think that these are the kind of folk that you’re actually playing, heh. Or, according to him, getting beaten by. HAH.
Thanks for the amusement. =] 10 minutes well spent.

wow… that’s scary knowing there are people like that….if it’s real, which it seemed like it. I think it was funny how he said shnipe twice. yes shnipe. LOL. But he does have nice teeth.

Ya know… I expected him to start crying at some point during the movie…
Kind of disappointed he didn’t.
Is it wrong that I wish he had REAL problems in his life? He spent 12 freaking hours playing in one day.
Let me tell you what I glimpsed of him during this video:
-He owns a Mac (take from that what you want)
-He said “God forbid” multiple times
-He was so sure of his greatness
-He wanted the satisfaction of beating a real person into oblivion and embarrassment
-He is so tired he is having difficulty telling time
-He should have known about this update and what it meant for H3 gameplay before it ever happened, as outlined on the Bungie website. (I knew, and I don’t even own a 360)
Just from these various things, you start to form an opinion of him…
I normally hate to judge people, but I really hated that video… I have to agree with some of the comments on YouTube… he is cocky.
Seriously? He could be putting 12 hours to good use (www.freerice.com), but instead, he has to complain because the game he likes to play is changing because of feedback. This is what makes Bungie so great! If anything, he should consider this a challenge and try to adjust his tactics to take these updates into account.
Oh and if anyone is curious about his mannerisms and… odd way of saying things, just know he is a Musical Theater major. ‘Nuff said.

Hey jerkoff, the whole thing is a joke!!!!! Whoda thunk it, right?
I usually giggle at the people that get upset at these things of mine, BUT, I remember you posting personal information about my sister here. I got Hawty to remove it, thank goodness. Geez, man, messing with my family? I’ve wanted to say something from the beginning, but the whole thing is I didn’t want people to know whether it was a joke or not. But, hey, why not research a cocky gamer’s real life on the internet, figure out his college major, and stuff about his sister. (By the way, how’d that work for ya? You ever get the balls to call her?)
I should thank you, I guess my acting training came in handy.

I’m not sure if we are supposed to be turned on that he is shirtless in bed or not. Either way its hard to take anyone seriously who is giving his opinions half (fully?) naked from the top of the bunkbed.
So my first question: Who sleeps on the bottom?

I was bored out of my mind at minute one and I couldn’t get past minute five. I think if I watched the whole thing, my brain would hit some sort of emergency shut off switch and I would die right here and now.
But on the plus side…um…hold on…
…

it’s a beautiful day outside?

I think, somehow, by watching that, I have lost some brain cells, maybe some IQ points too.
A lot of people who claim to be great at Halo 3 have been complaining about the update, but what they do not realise is that if they were so great as they claim to be then they would adapt to the changes and adopt new tactics that counteract having to put one’s self in a scenario where a mutual beatdown could take place.
P.S. I am a distinctly average Halo 3 player myself.

0:55 – I’m not going to give out my gamertag because I’ll meet some people that might be able to kick my ass in Halo — fix’d.
1:15 – I can’t hear you over the sound of how awesome I am.
1:58 – I used “fixed” because I am the ultimate source of knowledge on Halo and how it works, not the people at Bungie who slaved over and were paid to program it.
2:11 – Ah! Let the BAWWWWING BEGIN!
2:25 – I am so awesome I do all the winning for the winning team.
2:55 – Is it even possible to keep track of 400+ beat-downs that might occur in a12-hour period?
3:01 – 3 days or 36 hours? They are not the same time period. Unless you play Halo 3 12 hours every day.
3:18 – Showing off your panties^h^h^h^h^h^h^h underwear shows people you’re the utmost professional when it comes to video games.
3:23 – BACK TO BAWWWING!
3:47 – See 1:15
3:53 – Zits are professional too! (see 3:18)
4:02 – See 3:47
How about a tl;dr version?
BAWWWWWW mutual beatdowns makes things a little more fair!
The 12 hours a day I waste in Halo 3 are for nothing because my 1-frame-faster reaction time doesn’t mean anything anymore. I am not so awesome any more!
I didn’t make it more than half-way through the video. At first I was pissed at his cocky attitude, but that broke way once he revealed how full of shit he is. It was hilarious, but I can only take so much much bullshit — this video provides more than enough.

‘Their update to fix the beat off … er … beat down problem’ – BIG Freudian slip
‘Every time I run hard & strong’ – ‘I know I’m hitting a man right in the face’ – ‘and he’s hitting my feet’ – ‘he’s a hard beater’ … OMG hahahaha you can tell what his mind was on
Be careful he’ll Schnipe you in the face …
If he’s So0o0o0o0o good he should be worried about the beatdowns, they should be killed before they reach beatdown range.
This totally brightened my day – BTW … it’s made of energy … Bwahahahaha

Holy crap, you actually appreciated SO MANY of the jokes!
Damn, you brightened MY day many, many months later with your post!
