Remember the Halo 3 X-shaped Ibanez Xiphos guitar that was given away in a few different contests to promote the release of Halo 3? Someone that won this electric piece of blue eye candy (his band placed second in the Halo 3 soundtrack competition) is now selling his highly coveted prize to pay for some studio time.

Featuring a mahogany body, this guitar has a “5-piece Wizard II maple thru-neck, bound rosewood fretboard with jumbo frets, reverse sharktooth inalys, Edge III floating tremolo, and a pair of DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers”. There were only 20 made so if you are a Halo fan that knows how to rock out, this item just may be for you.

As much as I love this guitar I must never be allowed to have it.
The reason is because I couldn’t resist trying to do this to it, and I would fail, and I would destroy such a pretty Ibanez.
Curse my inability not to tinker with technology.
Oh man I want that guitar so I can mod it into my GH3 controller and play the Mjolnir mix on it and reach Halo nirvana.
I have one and Im selling it but it is a sweet Ibanez I hate to sell it but I could really use the money.
OMG, it looks pretty cool, i have that in the green chameleon color and its beautiful.. Sounds amazing too. It has a fast neck and its great for solos.
Come on how can anybody do this to a real guitar? I mean transform it into a guitar hero. Anyway nice guitar but I think if I would have it I would look to much addicted to halo so…

it’s a sweet guitar, cool paint job…but i wouldn’t want to be a soloing advertisement for a game console, if i had won it i’d sell it & buy the red chameleon one

I really need that thing. The tres trem is the best system for floyd rose like action-no even better that floyd rose action. I’ve played Ibanez Tres trem,s and they’re the most fun tremolo tricks I’ve ever used. I just wish that xiphos was mine. I’m practically foaming at the mouth. If I won It would be the first baddass guitar I’ve ever owned.
Ibanez Trems are decent. OFR are the best, or a Kahler. The ZR Trems by Ibanez are pretty damn good though.
