Rorschach Inkblot Test – The Pit

Two weeks ago I left you with the Rorschach Inkblot Test where we used Valhalla’s Halo 3 global heatmap as our image. Answers were fabulously interesting as always (you people are a fascinating, entertaining bunch!). 32% of the answers were video game related which is the highest we have seen thus far. Before we move onto this week’s test, let’s compare and contrast Valhalla’s most prominent answer along with my personal favorites.
The light show was the first person to comment on the resemblance to a pregnant woman with eight other people following suit (Louis Wu, Snatch, JawReich, Andrew Herron, NovaHunter, Angel_251, MinkOWar, and Gyser).
Elnea’s response was “I see a female superhero, most reminding me of Marvel’s Storm. I always liked the Storm of the 70’s the best. She was the only superhero female that had nice big meaty thighs and a big comfy bosom and looked HOT.” which she reinforced with an outline. She wins the cutest comment that included a picture award!
My favorite response came from BerserkerBarage who said, “It looks like “Slimer” from Ghostbusters who’s going after a cheeseburger (beach base). You can see his out-stretched hands reaching for that ever-allusive cheeseburgery goodness.” It took me a second but I finally saw it (his arms are reaching up), plus it made me giggle. Slimer rocks.
Time to move on to this week’s image. Today our Rorschach Inkblot Test map is The Pit. I see something right off the bat, but do you see the same thing? Tell me what comes to mind when you look at this image. Remember, extra nonexistent points for originality!
I see a little robot guy. In fact, I see a little robot guy I’ve seen before – but I can’t remember his name.
I see two chairs, facing the viewer, with a couple of people high-fiving each other sitting in them.
It’s that Transformer icon!
HOLY CRAP! Thats the AutoBot symbol from Transformers Generation 1, 2, and the new series, because they changed it in Beast Wars and several series after that. That is awesome!!!
Looks like a torpedo, imo.
I see a Grunt’s face.
I see a Disaronno bottle shifted 90 degrees
i see a really angry cyclops
without a doubt a grunt face! gues that means my childhood was spent playing too much halo.

It’s #5 from “Short Circuit” upside down.
It’s the scales of justice!
I think it’s a wine bottle being opened by a simple bottle-opener.
I hope this doesn’t mark me down as alcoholic or anything. o_o’
A fat, squat alien with either spikes coming out of its head (an odd evolutionary development) or Madonna-bra headphones. I’m not sure what the floating red is… maybe he’s got telekinesis and is hovering some stuff. Like an inanimate entourage.
I see two bunnies standing in front of Optimus Prime’s face.
Is that who you’re thinking of Louis?
If we’re going by the honer system here, the first thing I saw didn’t even make sense – it’s a giant Stick Figure monster coming right at you, with a TV for a head
I see the robot from Short Circuit and he is going through a fire.
Looks like a girl with an emo flip over her left eye, a ponytail, and running red lipstick.
Oops… I thought we were doing the Valhalla one *facepalm*

That’s without a doubt a bottle of Chateau Petrus from the very good 1989 vintage.

I see a cow’s face staring right at you – with little horns up top and a big muzzle. It’s like an extreme close-up if you were having a staring contest with it.

I see a pair of shoes/boots. Toes sticking up as if you were looking down on them about to put them on.
Pfft!
Clearly it’s a square headed child with a bozo the clown wig. screaming. You can see his uvula. He’s standing on a chair while little hellion demons swarm on either side of him.
It’s SOOO obvious.
I see someones lungs.

I see a Grunt, too, with the standard chipmunk-cheek breather mask, and something square on his forehead.
I see a cheerleader (with pig tails) holding pom poms out to the side while standing on two peoples sholders. The two people at the bottom are facing each other and holding hands to support the cheerleader.
I see a bowling pin or assorted alchohol bottle in the middle and a pair of upside-down butterfly wings.
I see a Mayan Mask of some sort.
I definately see a grunts face with his mask on, and kinda looks like HK-47 from Star Wars:KOTOR
I see something that slightly resembles one of those things form beautifal katamari on the top half on some sort of overturned table thing with gas coming out it’s sides.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this heatmap is the map from Pac-man.
I’m giving it a second look here…
… and it could also be the head of a man with a mohawk watching tv. The picture is taken from the back of his head, with the tv also in view.
The blobs to the left and right are extremely fat girls dancing the can-can.

It looks like a weathervane, that’s on fire…and it’s irradiated.
I see the front of a motorcycle.
The box at the top is the headlight, with the side lines being the frame heading to the front wheel. The red line along the bottom is the road, and the red blobs to upper left and right are hands holding wide handlebars (which I can see in the yellow coming from the headlight box… kinda).
The rest, the blue and yellow, kinda looks like dust swirls or exhaust. Or both.
It’s a Grunt… Or Stuntmutt’s Master Chief.
And a guy with a crown, and big mutton chop beard.
It’s clearly a robot butterfly.
I see the top down view of a vertebrae from an ancient creature. Composed of living stone this behemoth relied on these super reinforced conduits to carry his will of destruction out to his powerful extreme ties. Notice that it has three Foramina (holes) the farthest up is closest to the steelen skin of the beast. The spinal nerve lies here. The center two each carry a variety of vile fluids that sustain the monster, but would boil a spartan instantly.
She is death incarnate, and this is her vertebrae.
It looks like a grunt head, or, a tank from the front.
I see two gorilla heads facing away from each other but attached by extra flesh in the center… kinda like conjoined gorilla twins. Eww.

I immediately thought of Number 5, the robot from Short Circuit [and am glad to see I wasn't the first to see that].

i see the grunt face definately.
but the first thing that came to my mind was a Mech from the MechAssault/Warrior/Commander series, specifically the ShadowCar model.
it reminds me of one of the enemies in LoZ: Ocarina of Time. They were the ones with the rotating eyes on top of the round body, and the shot lasers out of their eye.

Ok… first hought was that picture they always show when explaining the female reproductive system. With the big main part and those two egg producing things on the side. Sorry if thats a horrible picture in your head. I’m 15 and male, so that’s my excuse for seeing it.
It looks like a oddly shaped guy petting his two dogs.. or cayotes. In Cherynobel. That’d explain his shape.

It looks like you’re looking down the scope on a gun in COD, can’t recall which one, but it’s the Red Dot Scope.

I see that famous illusion image, which is either two faces on the outside, or a vase in the middle.
Or, upon a second look, it looks like a Coat Of Arms, with two unicorns on either side. Not sure. Take your pick.

first thing i saw was an upright piano viewed from the front with a stool in front and a music stand thing on it. But it could definitely be a grunt’s head or Stuntmutt’s MC
