Fret the Faceplates, It’s Time to Skin

I’ve been disappointed in the lack of quality Guitar Hero III faceplates. One of features they heavily promoted was the customization of the guitars with new interchangeable faceplates except there are only a handful of designs that are easily accessible, none of which are particularly attractive. I do believe it is time to move onto skins as a way to personalize your instrument of choice. These are my favorite Guitar Hero III skins, some of which are girly, some of which are masculine, most of which are nestled happily in between.

Price : $14.99
Note : Nothing says rock star quite like screaming red, and the simplicity of the modern design is also quite appealing.

Dot Riot

Price : $14.99
Note : The females will probably like this one more than the males but can you ever go wrong with black, white, and large polka dots? Obviously not.

Foxy Baby

Price : $14.99
Note : I love the splash of teal thrown in the with red on this design. The swirls and hearts float my boat too.

Runaround

Runaround
Purchase here : DecalGirl
Price : $14.99
Note : I want to stick this guitar skin on your face, probably because it reminds me of a shooting target.

Yellowjacket

Yellowjacket
Purchase here : DecalGirl
Price : $14.99
Note : I realized I was getting into a rut with red and black designs so here is a yellow one. A very, very bright yellow one.

Cherry Sunburst

Cherry Sunburst
Purchase here : DecalGirl
Price : $14.99
Note : This is one of my favorite finishes in the game. Now it can be one of your favorite finishes in real life too.

Her Abstraction

Her Abstraction
Purchase here : DecalGirl
Price : $14.99
Note : You didn’t think I would make a list without having any pink, did you? Geez, I thought you knew me by now.

DecalGirl has 45 different designs for Guitar Hero III guitar skins. If you didn’t like any of my picks, it just means you have horrible taste. Check out their site for other skins not quite as attractive as these.

Yay for having real (if cheap) guitar and bass to just try and learn on. But I wish they looked as nice as those skins…

If I ever braught GH3 i would have to buy the Runaround faceplate skin thing with it or I just wouldn’t play it. But then I’d need more money…and GH3 is pretty expensive *walks away rambling insanley*
