Guardian in a New Light

Someone who goes by CAR7EL266 kindly deposited a few of his screenshots to my Xbox Live message inbox. These were my favorite two, which are appropriately called “Guardian in a New Light”.

Guardian

These pictures are pretty, yes. These pictures have interesting lighting, yes. But the thing that makes me love these Guardian shots is that they made me look at this map in a way I haven’t before.

When I first saw these images, I was amazed at the sheer beauty of the finer details. Despite the fact that I have played on this map more times than I can count, I didn’t even recognize the blossoming plant life that adorns the towers. Wondering how he got those shots without any editing, I loaded up a quick custom game to take a look around.

Anxiously coming around the corner by invisibility, I was simply astounded by the sights that greeted me. Somehow I have not really seen Guardian. The vibrant colors, the rich textures, the lush greenery are simply beyond beautiful. I love these images for opening my eyes to something I haven’t seen before. I guess you could say they showed me Guardian in a New Light. Did they do the same for you?

The pictures no, but the first time i played halo 3, i went into the custom maps to look at them, and see all the detials they provided.

Where these shots with a flare activated or photoshoped?

They remind me of a Turf at night photoshop screen shot i edited.

These images are not photoshopped or altered at all, they are straight from the file share. :)
