I grew up playing with My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake (along with Transformers any time my brother was out of the house). Any female gamer that grew up in the same decade will love this faceplate. The younger generation probably will as well with the comeback many of these toys are enjoying these days. Hopefully the younger ones appreciate it as much as I do, although I doubt it.
I’m pretty sure I set a gaming record the other night with how many people I muted while playing Halo 3. More times than not I scored a mute-tacular with the majority of the games requiring a total mute-astrophe. I am convinced that I managed to silence 99% of the Xbox Live population in one night. I found myself thanking my lucky stars over and over again for the much needed addition of the user friendly “asshole” button Halo 3 brought us. Muting has never been so easy.
The need to constantly mute all our opponents created a discussion within our party about how we wished there were blanket mute options. Someone suggested being able to mute everybody under the age of 18. While many people agreed, I found it inching too close to discrimination, not to mention that I know several young people who are quite mature and certainly nicer than the majority of foul mouthed randoms trolling Live. Muting by gamer zone was also brought up but again, much too broad.
So instead I made a survey that I think all gamers should have to fill out when signing up for Xbox Live. If anyone answers yes to two or more of these questions, I think my settings should allow for an automatic mute. I can’t even begin to imagine how much time and trouble this system would save me.
If you know me at all, even just a teeny tiny bit, you will understand why I am at a complete loss for words right now. The only thing I have to say is that this is the most amazing Halo 3 Legendary Helmet. Ever.

This pen just may be the cutest writing utensil I have ever seen. Ever. A handmade adorable Toad plush sits on top of a pen that is wrapped in glossy pink ribbon. And because that isn’t cute enough, Toad also has a blinged out pearl necklace.
Purchase here : dreamalittledream’s Etsy Shop Price : $6.20 Note : I’m pretty sure it is a crime to sell a pen as cute as this for such a cheap price.
The seller says she also has this pen available in green, blue, and red but seriously, why would you want it in anything other than pink? I think I am going to put a handful of them in a vase and display them as a bouquet. That would be the cutest decorative piece ever.
This Master Chief helmet constructed in Forge is pretty sweet! He does a few closeups about halfway through the video so you can see what weapons and grenades he used. Otherwise there isn’t a need to watch the entire thing, unless you like the song. Which I don’t.
I spent about five hours on this Helmet and thought it turned out really well. I placed all the objects that it would let me place on the map to create this work of art.
One of my favorite sites, geeksugar, finished tallying the votes on their Favorite Geeky Craft of 2007. The winner is this amazingly awesome cross-stitched Princess from Super Mario Bros. shirt. There is something about this picture that is incredibly hot to me. Could be the geeky factor. Could be the mysteriousness of not showing the guy’s face. Could be the whole “I’m comfortable enough with my masculinity to wear a video game character cross-stitched on my sleeve” thing. I’m also wondering if it could be the fact that I have issues. Regardless, I like it!
This customized Hot Wheels car has a Halo 3 CTF-theme. It’s certainly not a warthog but it’s still pretty darn cute. Add a Gauss turret on the back and I’m sold.
Video game-themed buttons are about as geeky as you get. Hence, I love them. I have a messenger bag that I use when traveling that has the strap completely covered in awesome buttons. That’s just the way I roll. If you want to roll in the same spectacularly geeky fashion, here are some sets to help get you started. I know supreme geekiness does not come naturally to others, and that is why I am here to help you out. You’re welcome.

I did not like the Flood level in the Halo 3 campaign. I found it to be the hardest level by far and it took me several attempts to pass it. It didn’t help that I somehow missed the flamethrower as well. I definitely could have used some Flood Insurance, as this Halo-themed t-shirt advertises.
Purchase here : Jinx Price : $14.95 - $16.95 About : “I am so sick of having to deal with alien-infected space zombies. I’m minding my own business, then all of a sudden, I’m knee-deep in body parts. It’s a good thing I’m protected by my Flood insurance.”
Flood insurance, yes please. Or perhaps just an Arbiter that will actually help me. Either way.
