Fellow video game bloggers, I need YOU.
I would like to start a new regular feature (that I have yet to come up with a clever name for, don’t hold your breath on that one either). First let me say that I love the blogging community. It is fascinating to me that we all cover the same topic but each with our own individual spin. Even if I don’t always leave comments, I visit many of your blogs regularly. Everybody’s style is so unique, I feel we are not in competition but instead complement each other nicely.

My idea is that we all blog on a given topic on the same day once a month. Topics will range from light-hearted (post your set-up!) to individual opinion pieces (what is your definition of a gamer?) to more hard hitting subjects (I can’t think of one at this particular moment but I know I will come up with something brilliant. Or not.).
Specifics :
- Topics will come from my warped mind (be very scared) and I would also love some suggestions as well. I am creative approximately twice a year so I will need help coming up with topics the other ten months.
- I will give everybody participating the subject exactly one week in advance of posting. That way people who actually plan ahead will have enough time to write their article. Those of you who procrastinate and wait until the last minute (cough -me- cough) won’t have any problems either.
- Articles are to be put up on the specified day (it will always be a Saturday) and your article should include a list of links to all participants’ articles as well. As soon as you publish your article, I will ask that you send me the title of your article and the link to it. Then I will create an html code of everybody’s articles and send it out to everybody to put at the bottom of their article. If you don’t include the links that I send you, you will be forever banished to eternal damnation. Punishment includes but is not limited to playing Rock Band with me and listening to me sing.
Advantages of participating :
- First and foremost, I am doing this to build our community and strengthen our bonds. I love the support many of you have given me, and I try to give the same thing back.
- Everybody putting the links to all the participants’ articles will immediately give you link backs and bring you traffic (I can’t promise tens of thousands of hits, but I promise I will read everybody’s articles. That is at least one more view! w00t!). You could very well come away with some new regular readers if you consistently put up worthy articles.
- You get my email address. Dude, it’s in high demand. I am averaging about .2 emails a day now. That is up from the .01 I had last month. Oh wait, I am actually getting the benefit with this one since I will be getting more emails. Oops. Oh well, yay me!
If you are interested in participating, please just send me your blogging name and your blog url via my contact form. Feedback is welcome and appreciated. My hope is that we can do this on a regular basis and tighten our bond as a community. I think it will be fun reading other people’s takes on the same exact subject. This activity is open to anybody who blogs and games, no requirements whatsoever other than your desire to be an active participant.
Come play. You know you want to.

Sounds like a cool idea, angel. : )
Neato!
This sounds like a great idea. Just one more reason to ignore homework but play some games…
That sounds like a really good idea to me and it will be interesting to what other blogging gamers think and write about on a given subject.
It will also be cool to build a community of us blogging gamers, let me know further details as it happens….assuming you want me of course!
Awesome guys!
I am going to wait a handful of days to allow people to sign up, then I will send out an email to everybody with further details. I am so excited about this!
Great idea angel!
Looks interesting
Will check with the Admin and let you know…
This sounds like a pretty cool concept. I am intrigued.
You want in Mr. Tort now that you are a blogging master?
Sounds like a great idea and thought Angel . . My blog, XboxOZ360-Blog is slowly gaining popularity, and I’m always wantingto support local (read Aust) sites where possible.
I have a huge Xbox360 Up-Coming Games Listing I constantly update with over 350 games usually listed at any one time, sometimes more. Many Xboxers have found it very helpfull over the years, with links to news on the various games, announcements and mdeia etc.
So definietly keep me posted on your thoughts around it, as I’d bemore than interested in helping in someway or adding my bit to it etc.
You can contact me via the blog “contact us” email link,or directly via Xbox PM etc.

I hope this takes off, it would be interesting to read a set of bloggers thoughts on one topic, that would be cool.
Sounds great. I found your blog by chance a few weeks ago and I’ve lurked - a little.
This sound like a lot of fun - especially the part about all of us expressing our opinions on one idea. I’d go for it.
Hmm, I am interested but also, as a new blogger, gripped by The Fear. It is a good idea though. Nice one, Angel.
Well if you need ideas you can always use that one that you emailed me recently about. It’d be cool to see everyone’s creative thoughts on it and how they think it would have turned out to be.
Awesome idea angel. Count me in! When do we begin!
I’m your huckleberry.
BGLG, boffman (big guy) & belpers (little guy) are down with it… you know we’re doing all this stuff to build the brand marketing site, so we are completely on board with building a community… while we’re building our community on the biz side (bigguylittleguy) we’re linking everything over to the personal side (little guy & big guy).
Say when!
Sounds excellent. Count me in!
You can add me to the blog banter, angel!
Let me know how it works : )
You get my email address. Dude, it’s in high demand.
I got it but what do I do with it?
I guess I broke the rules, not only did I post it on the wrong day but I stole the links from Cat’s post rather than waiting for links to arrive! lol
Excellent job angel! Looking forward to all the Blog Banter articles here
