Rest assured that the custom Master Chief figure up for grabs right now on eBay is not your typical Spartan figure. Oh no, this particular figure is from the hit Playstation 3 game Halo.

Features (from the eBay page) :
Up for auction is this SIGMA 6 style version of the greatest Spartan of them all, “MASTER CHIEF” from the hit PlayStation 3 game “HALO”. He is approx. 7″ tall made using a GI Joe Sigma Six figure. I was inspired by the awesome figure made by the great customizer Jin Saotome. I sculpted much of the armor and then put a base coat of flat green. Then I weathered the figure using various techniques. He comes with a variety of weapons including a Pistol, Rifle and a Brute Weapon. He also has another, helmetless head that shows off what John Spartan looks like (Although no one really knows what he looks like). I also made a base which is made using train model moss and real rocks as well as some mechanical pieces to simulate a crashed vehicle. A dead soldier was also added to the base as well as a custom dead BRUTE which was made using a marvel legends figure and sculpted armor and other parts. This figure is one that needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. He is fully transformable and has too many points of articulation to count. Many hours were put into this figure to get him to look just right.

Purchase here : darthleon_customs eBay Store
Current bid : US $41.00
Auction ends : Nov-02-07 19:15:00 PDT
The base is actually a neat addition to this display. I don’t think I have seen a base for a custom Halo figure that has a dead soldier and a dead Brute on it. +10 points for originality.
This PlayStation game must be pretty cool. I just may have to pick it up.
UPDATE : This item sold for US $325.00.

Wow, Maybe he just does not know where halo comes from?
He also reveals what master chief would look like under the helmet.
I don’t think he would have blonde hair, and I don’t think he would look at all like that!
It is a pretty cool statue though, but this is much better:

Where are these guys coming up with this stuff? Though pretty neat and detailed, it makes you wonder…

Looks cool.
For the record, that dead Brute is actually the Sasquatch figure from the Marvel Legends line, see link: http://www.universomarvel.com/news/sasquatch.jpg

Hey that Halo on PS3 is a cool parellel universe thought.
Also to try to stay on topic, that figure is different but cool.

Halo was released on the Xbox and X360 dipshit.

Jeff, people like you who come by and so willingly make complete asses of themselves add so much comedic value around here. Thank you for that!

See angel, Jeff might be among that group that believe girl gamers are mythical creatures. Like sirens, leprechauns, and people who actually like living in Florida. So to him it would be a safe assumption you wouldn’t know. Kind of like we can safely assume he is about 14 years old and will never know the love of a man or woman.

Uhhhh, Halo was never released for the Playstation only the XBox. What a weird oversight.

if that guy cared enough to make a master chief figurine why would be not do more research on it???
really weird if you ask me…. and since he didnt know its a bungie creation and owned by microsoft for the 360 i am really impressed with how detailed it is

I agree Daniel. I am fascinated that someone who apparently isn’t a Halo fan took the time to make a figure like this. I can’t imagine pouring the time and energy into a project that you aren’t passionate about.

Halo is an Xbox franchise. And as one reader said, the gun is upside down. MC’s neck is also too long.

more talent than I have

It’s also nice that he calls the MC “John Spartan”, as if “Spartan” was his last name..! Fascinating, that s.o. whith so little knowledge of Halo will build such a complex and more or less authentic figurine.

Just want to say hi to everyone. And the Master Chief figure looks more like some warped version of Robocop.
