They do custom signs as well. I personally would spring for two signs, one saying “1337 Parking Only” and the other saying “n00b Parking Only”. I would fill up all the spots by the “1337″ sign so the only available parking would be by the “n00b” sign. Then I would just point and laugh every time someone parked there. That would be more entertaining than actually gaming!

Goodness, I need to find more stuff to do.

Thanks for the tip, LadyRziha!

  5. Ya know I’ve never played Halo–not 1, 2 of thrice–but I keep picking up your blog from the top posts at WP and I laugh every time. It makes me wonder if I need to reclaim the X-Box I bought my college kid and start fraggin’

Ssshhh, I hear something … What is that?

Oh wait, it’s your inner child screaming to come out and play! I’m 31 years old and while gaming takes a backseat to other real life responsibilities, it is still a fabulously fun hobby to have.

Come on, you know you want to. :)

  8. Maybe, but my wife wonders when my inner child is going to get an inner job to pay for my inner house, car, groceries and my inner child’s children’s college bills.

Somehow she thinks there is a correlation between a paying job and having money in the bank.

    Silly girl.

  9. I love when the universe sends signs from above like this! I’ll add this to my list of dreams… to have this sign in front of our office building someday! At least for my own parking spot!

And to Aaron above… I’d advise getting your own box! I’m 35 and even though it’s my 360 I have to negotiate time to play between my 13 and 8 year old boys. Thankful my wife doesn’t play cuz there’s no way I could live on a split screen!

So thankful to be a dork!

  10. Thanks littleguy. We’ll have to see. It gives me a good excuse today to stop writing for a while and shop online for an X-Box and explore the games (other than Halo 3) that I might enjoy.

Wait, what? There are other games besides Halo 3?

Microsoft actually just released a new console called the Xbox 360 Arcade. Some of the finer details can be found here :

I, personally, love the arcade games. I spend a decent amount of time on them. There are several somethings in there for everyone.

Gaming, for me, is a fun past time. It is no different than watching your favorite television shows, or seeing a movie. Just another form of entertainment. :)

  12. I know… Halo 3 is all I want to do, but for a while there on Halo 2 I got an itch for some speed and got a new twist on an old favorite… Burnout Revenge. Wow it was a blast, but by the end of the evening I was wishing my car were a hog or that my wingman boffman22 was mounted on top of my car with a gauss cannon! We adapted… we came up with gametype dukes of hazzard, aka pumatag… map: waterworks. vehicles: hogs only, weapons: shotguns only. It was our version of the N64 Destruction Derby… high flyin hogs, splatters, shotgun panic attack (shotgun vs. hog)… we would laugh until we cried.

I wish there was a gametype with a road, hogs, and it was all about getting to the finish line.

Hey, did i mention… I like to drive the hog.

    Have gunner? Will drive!

    Game on tonight!

  13. IF I wanted to buy an X-Box, what one should I buy? What features? I looked and there were several models to choose from.

Also, other than Halo 3, what games should I snag?

(And if my wife calls I was never here, I never left these comments…)

Aaron, I am going to research the bundles available this holiday season and I’ll get an article up detailing the advantages and disadvantages of each one. I’ll attempt to get that up this weekend.
