Worldwidewebbs, the eBay screen name for the creative individual who makes custom faceplates for the Xbox 360, has two Halo 3-themed offerings up for grabs right now. While his last batch of Halo faceplates felt more classic and used the Spartan and Legendary images, his two current faceplates feel more cartoony, and I mean that in a good way.

Press the badge to initiate startup sequence. This plate is TOUGH, but NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE. I would not recommend it for use in a home with children who don’t know how to handle fragile items, but I would have no worries about actually using it on your 360. The mem card ports, I/R window and USB ports work normally.

I love how both of these feel like they jumped right off a page of your favorite comic book. The first one especially is amazing between the font and the graphic behind the beat down icon. I can picture a word bubble saying “POW!” floating right above it. On the second faceplate, the blue and the orange look quite striking together. I wonder if he read my How-To Guide to Fabulous Armor Color Combinations. He certainly excels at choosing complementary colors. Kudos to the color coordinating creator of these awesome custom faceplates. If you like them, go bid!
