*Disclaimer : If you are an uptight individual who takes things way too seriously and tends to get their undies in a twist over insignificant matters, please stop reading immediately. However, if you are a relatively well adjusted person who is wearing their big girl panties and knows the difference between a parody and a serious article, please feel free to continue on.
When Microsoft officially announced Halo 3 going gold on August 29th, some people claimed to already know that information. They had an inside source, they read an article about it the previous week, they have ESP, aliens abducted them and planted a chip in their brain containing this information, Cortana visited them in their dreams, etc. Well I am here to tell you I actually knew about this over 20 years ago. Oh yes, I speak the truth. Unbelievable you say? Well here is your proof.

Back when I was growing up, my favorite show was The Brady Bunch. Every day I would rush home from school to catch the glorious reruns that brought me endless amounts of joy and laugher. One of the more memorable episodes was about Jan’s jealousy of the attention her big sister received. The often repeated quote from this particular show is, “Well, all I hear all day long at school is how great Marcia is at this and how wonderful Marcia did that. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!”. If you read the last part of that line without using the proper nasally high pitched tone and inflection, stop reading now. You are not worthy of this information. If you can recite that line in a decent imitation of Jan, you may continue on.
Let me explain the correlation between The Brady Bunch episode titled Her Sister’s Shadow and the date Halo 3 went gold, August 29th, 2007. Prepare to be enlightened.
First important fact : (relevant to August)
Her Sister’s Shadow first aired on Friday, November 19th. Friday has six letters in it. November has eight letters in it. Nineteenth has 10 letters in it. Add them all up and you get 24 (6+8+10=24). Divide that by three (the most significant number due to this being about Halo 3) and the answer is eight (24/3=8). August is the 8th month and August is the month in which Halo 3 went gold. Coincidence? I think not.
Second important fact : (relevant to the 29th)
If you take the 10 from the difference in days from the release date of Halo 2 and the date the episode aired (19-9=10), and if you take the 10 from the difference in days from the date Halo 3 went gold and the date the episode aired (29-19=10), and if you add the number of main characters that appeared in that show (9), that equals 29 (10+10+9=29). The 29th is the date that Halo 3 went gold. Coincidence? I think not.
Third important fact : (relevant to 2007)
This particular episode originally aired on Friday, November 19th, 1971. If you take the 1971 and add 19 to it (for the 19th), you get 1990 (1971+19=1990). If you then add 11 to that (for November being the 11th month of the year), you get 2001 (1990+11=2001). If you add six on top of that (taken from Friday since there are six letters in that word), you then get 2007 (2001+6=2007). 2007 just happens to be the year that Halo 3 went gold. Coincidence? I think not.
Important facts relevant to the number 3 : (for Halo 3 of course)
Her Sister’s Shadow was an episode within Season 3. Season 3. The game we are talking about is Halo 3. Halo 3. Season 3. Halo 3. Coincidence? I think not.
Her Sister’s Shadow originally aired on November 19th (1971). The first hint in there is that Halo 2 was released on November 9th (2004). The 9th is exactly 10 days before the 19th. Microsoft made the official announcement that Halo 3 went gold on August 29th (2007). The 29th is exactly 10 days after the 19th. If you take the 10 days difference from both important dates and divide it by three (for Halo 3), the answer is three (rounded to the nearest whole number from 3.33). Coincidence? I think not.
Her Sister’s Shadow is episode number 59. The production code for this show is 56. 59-56=3. As in Halo 3. Coincidence? I think not.
Her Sister’s Shadow contains multiple lines with significant clues to Halo 3. Jan has her infamous line where she squeals, “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!”. Marcia upon discovering her awards were missing cries, “Gone, gone, gone!”. Cindy imitates Jan’s rant by teasing, “Jan, Jan, Jan!”. Three different girls say three lines that contain one word repeated three times. Coincidence? I think not.
Her Sister’s Shadow first aired on 11.19.1971. If you add all of those numbers individually (1 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 1), that equals 30. Take the 30 and add it the same way (3 + 0) and that equals 3. As in Halo 3. Coincidence? I think not.
So as I said, I knew Halo 3 was going gold on August 29th, 2007 long before anybody else did. I had this information back in the 80s. The clues were there, you just had to know where to look.

Awww bs I’m sooooo jealous! LOL!
Posted by Storpa on September 4, 2007 at 5:25 am
Excuse me but if you DID know Halo 3 was going gold 20 years ago how did you know about Halo 3 in the 80’s and that it was Halo 3? Also how would you know to add THREE (3) if Halo: Combat Evolved didn’t come out until 2001 ? One last question, what would make you think that it was going gold in August and that you were using clues from 2001, 2004, or 2007 that are more than 20 years AFTER?
Please Explain…

There was a really cool episode in season9 of the xfiles about the brady bunch.. a guy who could think of anything he wanted and suddenly where ever he was, it would turn into a reality. So he made his home turn into the brady house, along w/ all the bradys in the house with him. classic show. : )
Now on halo- I believe you! ^_^

With this crowning post, I would like to put forward that bs angel is actually the physical manifestation of Eris, the goddess of Chaos (latin: Discordia). Proof? Only Eris could write such a post, and pull it off with such élan. But there are also hints sprinkled throughout: She (note the up-case ‘S’) makes repeated references to 10, which, as we all know, is a direct reference to 5 on the left and 5 on the right — Note the symmetry in this pair: She left her signature card with that one. Also, since this episode aired 20 years ago and is about Halo 3, we have, when we juxtapose and concatenate those numbers, the Number 23 (Ha! You thought I was going here, but I wasn’t, so: psyche!).
Of course, I need not point out (so, I will) that 23, when you take the integer portion of its division by 10 on the left and the modulus by 10 on the right and add them together, is 5. (“In the Erisian Archives is an old memo from Omar to Mal-2: ‘I find the Law of Fives to be more and more manifest the harder I look.’”).
So, along with all other Friends of Bob, send a “Hail, Eris” bs angel’s way every time you see her or leave a comment here.
Hail, Eris^wbs angel!

silvercube: I remember that Xfiles episode very well. bs angel must have abducted Mulders sister. I knew it. The Brady Bunch thing is to just to distract us from the truth. hehehehehe :)

That’s amazing. I wish I had that kind of psychic power.
Oh, question: How do you get your Xbox Live gamercard on your blog?
Posted by intelomkar on September 4, 2007 at 7:41 am
nice calculations but the fact is 20 years ago you didn’t even know that there’s gonna be a game named Halo :|
you calculated all this today and not 20 years ago.
(no offence meant)

@ all the doubters :
This article was solely concerning the date that Halo 3 went gold. If you are looking for proof within a Brady Bunch episode that hinted towards the existence of the Halo game in general, then you need to go back a few seasons to an episode titled “The Voice of Christmas“.
The shining moment of this episode is when Carol sings “O Come All Ye Faithful”. There are a handful of mentions of angels in that song, which is clearly a hint towards the creation of the game Halo. What is one of the first things you think of when you picture an angel? Wings and a halo. There is your Halo reference.
As far as the release date of Halo CE (11/15/2001), if you take that episode number (12) and subtract the season in which it appeared (1), that gives you 11 (12-1=11), and the eleventh month is November, the month in which Halo CE was released. Coincidence? I think not.
The particular day is marked by the production code of this episode, which is 015. Halo CE was released on the 15th of November. Coincidence? I think not.
This episode originally aired on 12.19.1969. If you add the month (12), the date (19), and how many times the Brady Bunch television series did a Christmas special (1), you get 32 (12+19+1=32). Take the year in which it aired (1969) and add that 32 and you get 2001 (1969+32=2001). Halo CE was released in the year 2001. Coincidence? I think not.
So although this article focused solely on the date Halo 3 went gold, there is your proof that the Brady Bunch series did in fact know of Halo before it was even created. Some things simply shouldn’t be questioned.
