I found the cutest handmade crocheted Nintendo DS Lite Cases on Etsy. I would consider them something to hold your DS in if you typically carry it with you to play at odd moments (such as when you are waiting for a doctor’s appointment). It doesn’t seem travel friendly as there isn’t a separate pouch to carry your games or headphones so it is more of a day to day case in my opinion. If you are looking for a nice custom handmade case, these are an excellent option.

I currently house my DS Lite in a portfolio type case. After going through a couple of different play and carry cases, I decided those simply weren’t a good option. The portfolio case is awesome as it holds my DS, lots of games, the charger, and headphones comfortably while being quite durable. However it is too large to carry with me in my purse. These crocheted cases would be an awesome choice for my normal day to day activities. I wonder if she does custom colors. Pink anyone?

Those are really good looking. But I myself would never buy one due to the fact that I rarely play my DS.

That actually may be a reason to buy one instead of not! You wouldn’t be opening and closing it that much so wear and tear would be less thus making it last that much longer. LOL … I can rationalize any gaming related purchase!
