Bling My Thing is a German based company that offers the art of crystal customization on a wide range of accessories (my favorites being various gaming consoles of course). Their definition of “crystal customisation” (from Bling My Thing):

The art of crystal customisation was born in Japan, many years ago, when stylish girls started decorating their mobile phones and other accessories with crystal mosaics. They called it “Deko-Den” (an abbreviation of “Decoration Denwa”, with “denwa” meaning “phone” in Japanese), and although it’s been popular in Japan ever since, it’s taken the rest of the world a while to catch up.
Leading the way, and bringing the art of crystal customisation to a global audience, is Bling My Thing. Chief designer Ayano was also born in Japan, and when she left she brought Deko-Den with her, importing this traditional art straight from Tokyo in its purest, most authentic form.
Bling My Thing is the cream of the crop out of the companies that offer these luxury services. So much in fact that other companies have stolen their pictures and used them as their own to get business. Thus all of the images on their website cannot be saved and hosted on any other website. I have done articles on blinged 360s, PSPs, and Nintendo DS Lites and while I would have loved to have included Bling My Things related products, I could before only provide links to their gallery. However Ayano Kimura (chief designer of Bling My Thing) stumbled across my site last month and she noticed my interest in all things bling. She offered to send me special pictures I could post here which of course was something I couldn’t refuse.
Their products are amazingly beautiful and so well done. They work exclusively with Swarovski 2028 Xilion Rose crystal, which is considered the finest quality, full-lead crystal made today. Here are a few of Ayano’s Xbox 360 designs.

Ayano’s experience blinging Xbox 360 consoles as she related to me :
The Perfect Dark Zero console was a challenge… a week to airbrush/paint the portrait, the gun etc, then working on it for 3 weeks! It is so detailed! Well, we did it for Microsoft in the UK to promote Xbox360 and 7 of those were given to celebrities.
Xbox 360 bling was a very interesting opportunity. It was amazing to see, how much is possible with crystals! But I tell you, after finishing one console, my elbow was so numb… and imagine, how many crystals fell in the ventilation holes and we had to shake it to get them out! It was a far more thrilling than playing the actual game (my god, if it fell off, I would die!)

If you enjoy looking at the blinged 360 faceplates, I highly recommend you stop by Bling My Thing’s Gaming Console Gallery. There are more faceplates on display there on the second and third pages. Make sure you look at the larger image of the orange faceplate while there. It is another one of my favorites.
If I ever win the lottery, one of those faceplates will be the first thing I buy. No joke.
*A very special thank you to Ayano Kimura for providing the images along with the stories on these beautiful consoles. These pictures may not be copied or posted on any other site without Ayano Kimura’s permission.

My goodness! These are beautiful. I can’t get over the shadows and depth of the gun in the PDZ faceplate. That’s some serious talent.

$30 for that? Seriously? The crystals alone probably cost more than that! How in the world did you swing that deal?
