We started off with Mario Party 8 and then a clump of games that came with a special remote. There are 9 games in there, not sure what they are though. So it gives us a good solid start. I really need to do some research and see what I want to buy. I haven’t gotten that far into it yet!

The punchline of the 2nd video made up for how clueless the guy was (lawl, Guitar Hero). If my gf looked at me like that, I’d put the controller down in a heartbeat. Was I the only one who was surprised at how clean the wiimote was when the girl pulled it out of the guy?

Congrats on the Wii! I don’t own one but have played many-a-time via cousins and friends. I don’t know why but everyone that purchased WiiPlay says it was useless, I’m a fan of the air hockey type game as well as the tank shooting one. I guess I haven’t played enough of it to be bored…

Also, I recommend Trauma Center. Played it at a friend’s house and couldn’t put it down. (Almost fell out of my chair laughing when I saw it in the 1st vid)

I”ll have to check out Trauma Center. I haven’t researched any games at all on this platform yet.

I can see people not getting the same use out of it as a PS or Xbox. The games I have played so far on it are very light hearted and difficult to take too seriously. I have children though that I can see playing this on a regular basis. Plus, it is an excellent family activity!

How are all the “channels”?
I want to get a wii as well, for when super smash bros. is released… (Nov. 3rd) but i really cant cuz im getting so many 360 games (blue dragon, halo3 leg. edition, orange box. etc.)

The Wii has interested me, mainly because Nintendo make brilliant games…but I am not sure beyond Mario Galaxy and Zelda I’d find much interest outside of my 360…I tend to like games that absorb me, keep me engrossed…then again, I can feel at times just to long for something lighter, that I can mess around on. It’s probably a good ’second’ console though…and Mario Galaxy will be amazing.
