I just got back in town last night from an out of state clan LAN. The gaming was fast paced and furious, the company was amazing, and the entire weekend was just too good for words. Friday night was a Meet and Greet (with spouses and significant others), Saturday was LAN day, and Sunday was frisbee golfing off the side of a mountain.
This picture was taken after 14 hours of gaming. We started the LAN at 11 am and things didn’t wind down until after 1 am. This is not everybody who attended, it is just those of us that lasted until the wee hours of the morning. If we look a little tired, it is because gaming for 14 hours straight isn’t for the weak hearted.

Please note the guy on the bottom left that couldn’t stop playing Halo long enough for a photo. Thus group shot #2.

The set up was awesome. We had plenty of tvs, consoles, and games to go around. Sometimes at peak playing times we had to do some split screening, but for the most part everybody had their own station. Guitar Hero was set up in its own little corner so we could crank the music up and play rock star to our hearts content.

Over that 14 hours, we played Halo (both CE and 2) the majority of the time. Occasionally a different game got popped in. I saw some GoW action going down as well as Dirt and few other games. Someone even played Hexic for a while. Seriously, who the heck travels to a LAN and plays Hexic?! (Maybe me but I’m not telling.) The Guitar Hero corner always had someone in it. One of the wives who had initially planned on not coming as she doesn’t game a lot discovered the joys of rocking out. She was huddled in that corner so long she completed her entire easy career and was well into her medium career by the time she finished. It was a blast playing coop with her.
The Halo games were all crazy close. It was amazing how tight some of the games finished. There was a hill game with a final score of 4:59 – 5:00. You can’t imagine the cheers and groans at the end of that game. There were tons of slayer games that finished within 1 or 2 kills of each other, and all the flag and assault games only had a one point difference. The competition was fierce and the trash talking was just as intense. I am a player who utilizes that mute button a lot so I keep a positive attitude. I haven’t found a real life mute button yet though so get me at a LAN and the trash talking flows out quite easy. Good times, good times.
Here’s to another successful LAN. Thanks for the awesome experience yet again.

Ok. 6.75% of zero is … zero. Excellent. There’s your cut. Don’t spend it all in one place!
I definitely have a lot of body guards in that area. It is very much appreciated. : )

I have this tshirt that says “Save your breath, i already have you on mute” Maybe that will help with all the trash talkers, my friend. Glad to hear you arrived home safely.

Don’t worry, I’m still looking for your mute button, too… ;) Your top is cute! And my guitar is bigger than your guitar. I think that’s all for now. :)

Thank you for taking the time to make the link!
I like my “mute” shirt, but i never wear it to college lol!!
My professors would be like “huh?!”
oh by the way angel, I purchased guitar hero II today for xbox360!
Its good- but I like DDR better- Im not a huge fan of rock music, so thats the main reason- but some of the songs are actually quite decent.
I like the song surrender, well ive only played about 20 songs so far.. probably cuz im trying 2 get all of them on 5 stars on easy career.
I cant wait 4 guitar hero III, with online multiplayer, and a wireless guitar!
