Ordering a Custom Painted Pavel Dolgov Faceplate, Part 3

Pavel Dolgov continues to amaze me. The experience has been nothing short of a pleasure and I am beside myself with excitement as the end result gets closer. Last time I left you, I had approved the mock up he sent me and was waiting the 7-10 days for the faceplate to be painted.

Exactly seven days after approving the mock up, I received an email from him.

Hi bs angel,

Your faceplate is painted. The attached picture shows what it looks like before masking tape is removed from the ring of light and infrared port. I need your approval before I apply the clear coat, finishing coat would give it a shine and make colors brighter and deeper with more contrast. Once it’s done I will send the item and post the shipping date on this page:

Please send the picture of your new faceplate attached to console once it arrives if you have time. Thanks.

Hello,

The faceplate looks amazing. I love it already. Please finish it and ship it at your convenience. And by your convenience I mean AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Kidding, … (not really) I will definitely take pictures and send them. I will put it on the console for a few pictures but I plan on putting it in a shadow box for display and will send another picture when that is completed. Thank you again for the work you have put into this!

Less than 24 hours later, another update on my faceplate :

Nice! Here’s the finished product pic. If you really want it faster you can send extra $9 and I will ship by Xpress post tonight (2-4 days instead of 7-14) Thanks.
