If you are an avid player of Guitar Hero or if you happen to keep up with the latest video game news, you know by now about a game in the works called Rock Band. It is expected out sometime around the holidays later this year (2007) and will allow you and your friends to jam as a virtual rock band. You will be able to play as the bass or lead guitar as you can in Guitar Hero but in addition to that, you will also be able to rock out on the drums or sing the vocals. The game is slated to offer online support which is awesome news for those of us that enjoy rocking out on Guitar Hero but don’t have any friends in the area to play coop with.
Right now the Rock Band official site is accepting submissions for what songs you would like to see in the game. They allow you to submit four songs on their form and considering that MTV is a partner in this project, I anticipate the selection of songs they have to choose from as being quite large. So head over and submit your favorites. Who knows, you and your closest three buddies just may be rocking out to them later this year.
